Doncaster Road, Southmead - CLOSURE - (2 & 76)

Doncaster Road will be closed to services 2 and 76 between from 08:00 on​ Monday 11th and will remain fully closed until 16:30 on Friday 22nd December to facilitate carriageway works.

Please note that service 76 will be the only service that will operate between along Greystoke Avenue between Arnside Road lay-by and Pen Park Road, and will turn around at the lay-by for both directions of travel. Service 2 will continue along Pen Park Road only and passengers wishing to board the service 2 can board service 76 and get off at any of the bus stops in Pen Park Road to make their connections.

Please also note that Knole Lane in Brentry will also be closed over the same period (details on separate web page) which will incur additional delays to the scheduled timetable.

Service 2 heading towards Cribbs Causeway, from Southmead Road, instead of turning left into Doncaster Road, will continue along Southmead Road, turn left at the mini roundabout into Pen Park Road, and at next mini roundabout go straight across to resume normal route.
 
Service 2 heading towards Stockwood will operate the reverse of the above. 
 
Regretfully the bus stops between and including Doncaster Road and Eastleigh Road on Greystoke Avenue will not be served and passengers are advised to board or alight at Whiteleaze bus stop on Southmead Road or Jarratts Road bus stop on Pen Park Road. Alternatively you can board the service 76 at Greystoke Avenue, Arnside Road lay-by and get the service 2 on any bus stop on Pen Park Road.

Service 76 heading towards Henbury, when leaving Southmead Hospital, will turn right onto Southmead Road and left at mini roundabout into Pen Park Road, at next mini roundabout turn left into Greystoke Avenue and use Arnside Road lay-by to turn around and resume normal route. 
 
Service 76 heading towards Hengrove will operate the reverse of the above.

Regretfully the bus stops between and including Kingsholm Road on Southmead Road and Gosforth Road on Greystoke Avenue will not be served and passengers are advised to board or alight at either Greenfield Road bus stop on Southmead Road (normally served by the service 2a) or Arnside Road lay-by.

All bus stops on the diversion routes will also be observed.
