The High Street will be re-opening shortly. We will resume normal route via Portishead High Street from the first bus on Friday 15th August.  For the avoidance of doubt, the other diversion on the X5, using the M5 and missing out Walton in Gordano, will remain in place. 

Due to roadworks, Portishead High Street will be closed to traffic near Gordano School and as such service X5 will divert away.

Buses from Weston-super-Mare to Portishead Sainsbury's will serve the Gordano School stop as usual, then turn on the one way system onto Bristol Road, turn left at the roundabout and then run via Bristol Road, Portbury Common and Wyndham Way, resuming normal route at Station Road. Buses will serve all bus stops along the diversion, and an additional temporary stop will be placed in the layby outside ALDI on Wyndham Way. This will be the closet stop for the town centre.

Buses from Portishead Sainsbury's towards Weston-super-Mare will divert left from Station Road onto Wyndham Way, observing a temporary stop in the layby before the traffic lights across from ALDI. They will continue along Wyndham Way, Portbury Common and Bristol Road serving all stops on the diversion. Buses will then turn right at the mini roundabout onto St Mary's Road, then right onto Bristol Road to pick up the normal route at the Sheepfield Gardens bus stop on the one way system.

Regrettably the Brampton Way, Church Road South, Victoria Square, Royal Mail Office and The Precinct bus stops will not be served during the closure period.
