The Broad Quay/Marsh Street junction in Bristol City Centre will be closed for three nights from Monday 2nd November until 06.00 on Thursday 5th November, between 20.00 and 06.00 each night. This will affect the following services:
Please see the City Centre bus stop map at the bottom of the page to check alternative bus stop locations.
Service A1 (Airport Flyer) will divert between Temple Meads Station and Bristol Bus Station via Temple Way and Bond Street in both directions.
Stops at The Centre (C1/C2) and Queen Square (Q1/Q2) will not be served.
Please use the stops at Bristol Bus Station, Temple Meads Station (T6) or Redcliff Hill (R3 - to Airport/R2 - from Airport) instead.
Services 6, 7 and 44 into the City Centre will terminate at Rupert Street stop B4, and commence their journeys back towards Kingswood/Staple Hill/Cadbury Heath at Nelson Street stop B5 (the usual stop on Nelson Street). Stops at The Centre Broad Quay (C3/C4) will not be served - please use Nelson Street stop B5.
The 19.37, 20.05 and 20.34 journeys on route 44 from Imperial Park to Cadbury Heath will divert after Redcliff Hill via Redcliff Street, Bristol Bridge and Wine Street to Broad Weir, picking up normal stops from Lower Castle Street (S17). Therefore these journeys will not be able to serve Nelson Street stop B5. The nearest stop will instead be Wine Street stop B17 on these journeys.
Service 24 towards Southmead Hospital will operate normal route to Redcliff Hill, then divert via Redcliff Street and Bristol Bridge, resuming normal route at Wine Street.
Queen Square stop (Q2) and Baldwin Street stop (R11) will be missed out. Please use the stops at Redcliff Hill (R2) or Wine Street (B17) instead.
Service 24 towards Ashton Vale and 25 towards Ashton Gate will operate normal route as far as Rupert Street then divert via Bridewell Street, Nelson Street, Fairfax Street, Newgate, Wine Street, Bristol Bridge and Redcliff Street to resume normal route from Redcliff Hill.
The stop at The Centre Broad Quay (C5) will be missed out. Please use the stops at The Haymarket (B10) or Redcliff Hill (R1) instead.
Service 45 towards Cherry Gardens will operate normal route to Redcliffe Way then divert via Redcliff Street, Bristol Bridge and Wine Street, then run normal route from Lower Castle Street.
Stops at The Centre Broad Quay (C4) and Nelson Street (B5) will be missed out. Please use the stops at Redcliffe Way (R4), Wine Street (B17) or Lower Castle Street (S17) instead.
Service 45 towards Hengrove will operate normal route to Rupert Street (B4) then divert via Christmas Street, Nelson Street, Fairfax Street, Newgate, Wine Street, Bristol Bridge and Redcliff Street to resume normal route from Redcliffe Way.
The stop at The Centre Broad Quay (C5) will be missed out. Please use stops at Rupert Street (B4) or Redcliffe Way (R5) instead.
Services 46, 48, 48x, 49 and 49x into the City Centre will terminate on Rupert Street just short of the usual stop at The Centre C9.
Buses towards Fishponds/UWE/Downend/Staple Hill/Emersons Green will start from Rupert Street (bus stops B4-B6) and then divert via Christmas Street, Nelson Street and Fairfax Street, to resume normal route at Broad Weir (S12).
The following stops will be unable to be served: The Centre (C9), Baldwin Street (R11) and Wine Street (B17). Please use Rupert Street (B4-B6) or Broad Weir (S12) stops instead.
Service 70 towards UWE Frenchay will leave Temple Meads Station and divert via Temple Way, Bond Street and The Haymarket onto Rupert Street, then turn via St John's Bridge, and resume normal route at Lewins Mead, picking up from the outbound Haymarket stop (B7) as usual.
The following stops will be unable to be served: Temple Meads Station (T4), Redcliffe Way (R4), The Centre Broad Quay (C6) and Christmas Steps (C12).
Please use either Temple Meads Station (T6 - on approach ramp) or The Haymarket (B7) stops instead.
Service 70 towards Temple Meads will operate normal route to Rupert Street (B4) then divert via Christmas Street, Nelson Street, Fairfax Street, Newgate, Wine Street, Bristol Bridge, Redcliff Street and resume normal route on Redcliffe Way.
The following stop will be unable to be served: The Centre Broad Quay (C3). Please alight at The Haymarket (B10) if you need The Centre.
Service 72 towards UWE Frenchay will operate normal route to Baldwin Street then instead of turning left onto Marsh Street, will continue ahead and go directly to College Green, missing out The Centre stop (C7).
Please use stops at Baldwin Street (R10) or College Green (P1) instead.
Service 72 towards Temple Meads Station will operate normal route.
Services 74, 75 and 76 towards Bradley Stoke/Cribbs Causeway/Henbury will operate normal route to Redcliff Hill, then divert via Redcliffe Way, Temple Way and Bond Street to The Bear Pit, then go down The Haymarket, round St John’s Bridge onto Lewins Mead, then back up The Haymarket to resume normal route from The Haymarket stop (B7).
The following stops won't be able to be served: The Centre Broad Quay (C6), Christmas Steps (C12). Please use stops at Redcliff Hill (R2) or The Haymarket (B7) instead.
Services 74, 75 and 76 towards Hengrove will operate normal route to Rupert Street (B4), then divert via Christmas Street, Nelson Street, Fairfax Street, Newgate, Wine Street, Bristol Bridge and Redcliff Street to resume normal route from Redcliff Hill.
The following stop won't be able to be served: The Centre Broad Quay (C5). Please use stops on Rupert Street (B4) or Redcliff Hill (R1) instead.
Services 172, 374, 375, 376 and 376a towards Bristol will divert at Temple Meads Station to run via Temple Way and Bond Street into Bristol Bus Station, missing out Redcliffe Way (T4/R4), Queen Square (Q2) and Christmas Steps (C12) stops.
Leaving Bristol towards Bath or Wells, these services will operate normal route.
Services X39/39 and 522 towards Bristol will divert at Temple Meads Station via Temple Way and Bond Street into Bristol Bus Station.
Services X39/39 and 522 leaving Bristol will divert via Bridewell Street, Nelson Street, Fairfax Street, Newgate, Wine Street, over Bristol Bridge and then Victoria Street, to resume normal route from Temple Meads.
The Centre (C3) stop will not be able to be served, please use the stops at Bristol Bus Station, Temple Meads Station (T1) or stops along the diversion (B3/B18/R9/R7) instead.
Service m1 towards Cribbs Causeway will operate normal route to Redcliff Hill then divert via Redcliffe Way, Temple Way and Bond Street to the Bear Pit, then go down The Haymarket, round St John's Bridge onto Lewins Mead, where they will resume normal route from the Broadmead stop (B1).
The following stops won't be able to be served: Queen Square (Q2) and The Centre (C2). Please use stops at Redcliff Hill (R2) or Broadmead (B1) instead.
Service m1 towards Hengrove Park will operate normal route to Rupert Street (Broadmead stop B2), then divert via Christmas Street, Nelson Street, Fairfax Street, Newgate, Wine Street, over Bristol Bridge and via Redcliff Street to resume normal route at Redcliff Hill.
The following stops won't be able to be served: The Centre (C1), Queen Square (Q1). Please use stops at Broadmead (B2) or Redcliff Hill (R1) instead.
Service m2 will operate normal route to Rupert Street (Broadmead stop B2), then divert via Christmas Street, Nelson Street, Fairfax Street, Newgate, Wine Street, over Bristol Bridge and via Redcliff Street to resume normal route at Redcliff Hill.
The following stops won't be able to be served: The Centre (C1), Queen Square (Q1). Please use stops at Broadmead (B2) or Redcliff Hill (R1) instead.
Services m3, m4 and T1 into the City Centre will run to The Centre, but will stay on the main road and terminate at bus stop (C7) instead of (C1). They will then turn around using Anchor Road.
Outbound buses towards Emersons Green, Cribbs Causeway or Thornbury will start from The Centre bus stop (C11) outside St Mary on the Quay, instead of the usual (C2) bus stop. This is the stop usually used by routes Y1 and Y2. Thereafter, they will run normal route.
Services Y1 and Y2 into the City Centre will run to The Centre, but will stay on the main road and terminate at bus stop (C7) instead of (C1). They will then turn around using Anchor Road.
Outbound buses towards Yate will operate as normal.
