Beach Road, Sand Bay at Weston-super-Mare will be closed from Wednesday 3rd June to Friday 5th June 2026, from 08.00 until 17.00 each day. This will affect services 1 and 1s. 

Buses will be unable to serve Sand Bay at all during the closure. Kewstoke will be the nearest buses are able to get to Sand Bay.

Towards Sand Bay, service 1 will run normal route until Crookes Lane, then turn right onto Kewside, down to the bottom of the road, and turn left onto Lower Norton Lane. Buses will terminate on Lower Norton Lane just before the junction, facing the pink shop.

Buses towards Weston-super-Mare will start from here, turn left into Crookes Lane and resume normal route. 

We will not be able to serve stops between and including Lower Norton Lane and Sand Bay, Sand Road terminus. Please use the stops at Crookes Lane or the stop on Lower Norton Lane.

Service 1s towards Worle will run normal route to Crookes Lane, then divert via Lower Norton Lane to Norton Village, missing out Sand Bay. 

Service 1s towards Kewstoke will run normal route to Norton Village, then carry on down Lower Norton Lane directly into Kewstoke, missing out Sand Bay.
