University of Essex STUDENTS and STAFF can purchase discounted bus tickets to travel on the First Bus Essex network.

Tickets can be purchased via the First Bus App (as an mTicket) or as a paper ticket via the Student Union office (Colchester Campus). 

The S1 and the 87 services provide direct links between the Colchester University Campus and Colchester City Centre.

From the City Centre there are bus links across the Essex county - including a direct link to Stansted Airport with our X20 service.

Simply download the First Bus App and you’ll be able to buy tickets on your phone at any time of day. You can buy tickets securely through the app with your bank card, Apple Pay or Google Pay, and speed up future purchases with the handy ‘Buy Again’ option.
