This notice was amended on 12/09/2024 | Reason for amendment: to include the diversion routes for the 25 and X10 services.
The Wickford Town Carnival returns on Saturday 14th September 2024.
The Wickford Town Carnival route will pass through Wickford High Street (between Swan Lane and Station Avenue) between 12:30 and 13:30.
Due to the location of the carnival route, the 13, 25 and X10 services will be terminated early or placed on diversion:
Service 13
12:05 departure from Chelmsford Bus Station. This journey will terminate at Wickford Rail Station. The following bus stops will not be served: Jersey Gardens, The Swans, Tiptree Grove, Fambridge Drive, St Omar Close, Sutherland Place, The Derby Digger, Melville Drive, Carlyle Gardens, Wick Drive and Tesco Store.
13:01 departure from Wickford Tesco Store. This journey is cancelled and will not operate. The following bus stops will not be served: Tesco Store, Harris Close, Twinstead, Broad Oaks, Pebmarsh Drive, The Swans, Jersey Gardens and Railway Station.
Service 25
Please note. these diversions could change dependent on road closures being lifted or extended.
The 25 service will divert in both directions via London Road and Golden Jubilee Way and will not serve the following bus stops (in both directions): The Swans.
Depending on the extent of traffic congestion in-and-around the area - the 25 service might be unable to serve Nevendon Road and will divert in both directions via Golden Jubilee Way. The following bus stops will not be served: Bromfords Drive, Park Drive, Laburnum Avenue, Halls Corner and The Swans.
Service X10
Please note. these diversions could change dependent on road closures being lifted or extended.
The X10 service will divert in both directions via Golden Jubilee Way and will not serve the following bus stops (in both directions): The Swans and Wickford Railway Station.
The closest bus stop to board/alight near Wickford High Street will be Memorial Park bus stop (located on Runwell Road).
