336 / Bicknacre / SERVICE DISRUPTION / 17th of December 2025

Heavy traffic due to the road closure, the 11:25 Brentwood Station to Basildon is approx. 30 minutes late.

We do apologise for any inconvenience caused.

Due to very heavy traffic around Pitsea Broadway, routes B3 and B4 are diverting via the following:

Services will divert via Tesco's, Broadway East, Basildon bound via Hazelmere, Pitsea Hall Lane, A13, Broadway Link.

 Station Lane (for Market/Aldi's) will not be served during the is period of very heavy traffic.

Service 336 Main Road Bicknacre closed for emergency works service will divert via Priory Road the Tye Creephedge Lane, The Swan Bicknacre or Burnham Road Medical Centre in both directions. 

 Due to heavy traffic on Pitsea High Road/Broadway, related to Pitsea Market, delays to B3, B4, 22, 28 will be expected most of the day.

Lengthy delays to route 300, Basildon bound, due to the ongoing closure of Chapel Street.  

Delays to southbound services of up to 30 minutes.

Due to an incident and police road closure at the junction of Springhouse Road/Giffords Cross Road, route 100 will not serve Lampits Hill, diverting via Southend Road, Springhouse Road.

The 201 will divert via Lampits Hill, Southend Road and Springhouse Road.

Service 52 - will continue to divert between 07:00 and 10:00 as well as 13:30 to 19:00 today to avoid our buses being stuck in congestion.

The revised diversion route in both directions is via: London Road, Villa Road, Chapel Road and Winstree Road.  

Towards Sainsburys:

Normal line of route until Wheatfield Rd (School at junction), right onto Winstree Road. Back to London Road and then left (will continue to service Tollgate).

Towards Colchester:

After serving Tollgate left into Tollgate Road leading to Tollgate Roundabout, right 4th exit onto London Road, then right at mini roundabout onto Villa Road. Left into Chapel Road, following PAST New Farm Road, left into Wheatfield Road. Normal line of route back to London Road.

This is to prevent our fleet getting stuck with parked vehicles impeding our safe passage, due to Blackberry Road ongoing roadworks. Road due to be open again on the 18th of December 2025.
