All service men and women can travel for free with local bus operator First West of England for Armed Forces Day 2022

To celebrate and support Armed Forces Day 2022, First West of England has announced that serving members of the armed forces, veterans and cadets can travel on First Bus services for free anywhere in the West of England region this Saturday 25 June.

Armed Forces Day is a national, annual event to show support for the service of men and women in the British Armed Forces. The local bus operator’s offer, back for the fifth year, following a break during the pandemic, will help serving and retired members of the armed forces travel on this important day.

Free travel is available anywhere in the West of England region on Saturday 25 June for:

·       Members of the armed forces in uniform

·       Members of the armed forces who present a valid identification card

·       Members of the cadet forces in uniform, and

·       Veterans who display valid identification such as the MOD-issued Veteran's Badge.
