Events in York this December
This December, come and join us at some events in York to look around your brand-new electric buses and head home with some great freebies. We will be heading to:
- Haxby Christmas Light Switch on Thursday 30th of November from 5pm – 7pm.
- Acomb Christmas Light Switch on Saturday 2nd December from 2pm – 4pm.
- The Ship, Strensall on Saturday 9th December from 11am – 2pm.
On board the bus at both Haxby & Acomb Christmas Light Switch on's there will be a face painter – kids can come on board and have their face painted for free.

- We're fitting solar panels to the York depot - these panels will generate 33,000 kWh (that's enough to power 11 3-bedroom homes!) and any excess energy will go back into the grid.
- The York depot will have rapid charging technology, with the ability to charge a family car in just 30 minutes, or a bus in just 4 hours!
- The arrival of your York Electric buses means that, by March 2024, you'll have one of the first fully electric UK bus fleets outside of London!
