Park & Ride Fares

It's free to park at any of the six Park & Ride sites when you are getting on the bus to go into York City Centre.

The fares on the bus (listed below) are the same for all six of the Park & Ride sites, and are only available when boarding at a Park & Ride site. Fares from other stops are charged on the regular First farescale.

York by Bus smartcard

If you use the Park & Ride on a regular basis, a York by Bus smartcard could save you money on your travel.

Park & Ride products on a York by Bus smartcard are available exclusively to customers using Park & Ride services in York. These products are only valid for travel between Park & Ride sites and the city centre, not from intermediate stops.

For more information about Park & Ride products on a York by Bus smartcard, simply visit one of our Park & Ride site offices, where our Park & Ride Supervisor will be happy to help.

You'll need to pay a fee of £2 to buy your York by Bus smartcard - then simply keep topping it up at smart kiosks with whichever ticket suits you at the time!

Travelling with Children?

Three children aged 16 and under can travel for free when accompanied by an adult boarding at any Park & Ride site with one of the following tickets; standard return, 5 day carnet, concessionary return, smart weekly, smart monthly or smart annual.

First Bus App

All of the above tickets are now available to buy on the First Bus App, buy your ticket before you board and speed to your seat.
