At First Bus, we believe in keeping society moving for all. We’ve been helping the people of York move from A to B every single day for 26 years, but we’ve also been moving everyday life beyond buses. Since our Charity and Sponsorship Committee was created in 2008, we’ve been supporting local causes close to the hearts of local people, to make a difference in the communities of York.

Beyond replacing up to 75 cars on the road with each bus and electrifying our fleet for greener communities, we’re also initiating and sponsoring projects that reduce carbon emissions, lower energy consumption, and enhance green spaces.

Beyond providing transport that contributes to economic growth, we initiate and sponsor projects that preserve or create jobs, upskill under-represented groups and boost productivity, all to help improve living standards.
