Boreham Interchange, Chelmsford is closed for overnight roadworks from 13/04/2026 to 18/04/2026. 

*This is a timed road closure: the road will be closed nightly between 21:00hrs and 05:00hrs*

Due to the location of the roadworks - the 71 / 371 will be placed on diversion:

Towards Colchester: Normal line of route. All bus stops served.

Towards Chelmsford: The 71 / 371 will divert via the A12, Sandon Interchange, back up the A12 before returning to normal line of route on the B1137.

The following bus stops will not be served :

  • Terling Road Corner
  • Damases Lane
  • Waltham Road
  • Plantation Road
  • St Andrew Church
  • Butterfield Road
  • Old Forge Road
  • Boreham House
