Service 3, 3A, 7, 20, 21, 25, 26, 27, 28, X30, 4, 4A | Southend, Queensway | Road Closure

The closure of the Queensway underpass and adjacent slip roads for the demolition of the footbridge from 9pm Friday evening and for the rest of the weekend has started.

Temporary lights have gone up at the junction of Chichester Road and Queensway. This will not divert any services apart from the Z3 (No stops missed), but will likely cause considerable traffic during the day on Saturday and Sunday.

Likely to affect all services that serve Southend Victoria Station or Southend Travel Centre.

Updated - Southend bound services are now diverting before the Blue Boar bus stop to Southend Bus Station via East Street, Queensway and Chancellor Road.

Services leaving Southend are normal. The temporary lights at Chichester Road are holding traffic inbound for 6 minutes or more causing significant tailbacks.
