The Essex Pride March returns on Saturday 20th June 2026.

Whilst the event is underway - there will be a rolling road closure from 11:15 to 12:45 along Fairfield Road, onto Duke Street, through the city centre and across New London Road (at the junction with Bellmead).

Due to the location of the temporary road closures - the following services will be placed on minor diversions and will temporarily not serve stops located in the city centre:

11:15 – 11:45

Towards Galleywood: The C1 will not serve Chelmsford Bus Station, Chelmsford Railway Station, Cathedral, H&M and Job Centre.

Towards Broomfield: The C1 will not serve Chelmsford Bus Station.

11:45 - 12:45

Towards Galleywood: The C1 will not serve Cathedral H&M and Job Centre.

Towards Broomfield: Normal line of route. All bus stops served.

12:45 - ONWARDS

The C1 will operate to normal line of route.

The C2 / C3 will not serve Chelmsford Bus Station and Chelmsford Railway Station.
