The A12 (A12 Colchester to Kelvedon (south-bound) Jct 25 to Jct 23) will be closed for overnight roadworks (21:00 - 05:00) from 15/01/2026 to 17/01/2026.

This road closure will only impact one journey each night: Service 71 [21:15 Colchester, Osborne Street to Chelmsford Bus Station 22:23].

Towards Colchester: Normal line of route. All bus stops served.

Towards Chelmsford: The 71 service will divert via the A120 and Coggeshall Road. The following bus stops will not be served: 

  • Marks Tey, Post Office
  • Prested Hall

There will be slight delays to service, as the bus will be on a extended diversion route.
