Southend Road, Chelmsford is closed for roadworks from 04/05/2026 to 16/06/2026.

Due to the location of the roadworks - the 3 will be placed on diversion:

Towards Chelmsford: Normal line of route. All bus stops served.

Towards Southend-on-Sea: The 3 will divert via Essex Yeomanry Way (A1114). The following bus stops will not be served:

  • ​Manor Farm Shop
  • Molrams Lane
  • Woodhill Road
  • Ladywell Lane P

Passengers are advised to use the following alternate bus stop(s) to board/disembark the 3:

  • Army & Navy
  • Howe Green
