Our new simple tickets are designed to fit into your life seamlessly and help ensure you only ever pay for the travel you need. However you travel, we've got the perfect ticket for you.
Hopping on the bus is incredibly affordable; the price of a single ticket is capped at just £3 for adults - but, you could get it even cheaper (from just £1.60!) by using Tap On, Tap Off - the simplest, quickest and cheapest way to travel.
There are new single fares for children and mytravelpass users too. These are all based on distance and priced from just £1.10, with the maximum single fare capped at £2!
We've also made our fare zones simpler, by getting rid of them! Every ticket you buy is valid on every First Cymru service. No need to worry about whether you're crossing a fare zone, just buy, board, and go!
With Tap On, Tap Off and no more fare zones, we're taking the guesswork out of bus travel. No more worrying about buying the right ticket or if you're in the right fare zone, just tap your contactless card when you get on the bus and again when you leave - and we'll work out the best value fare for you!
Our Simple Tickets
Our affordable fares aim to make hopping on the bus the best value possible.
We know that around 75% of you who buy a day ticket only use it for one or two trips. So we've introduced a cheaper alternative than buying two single tickets or a day ticket.
If you need to catch several services in a day, you can still buy a day ticket. And as we've got rid of our fare zones, you can use it on any First Cymru service - wherever you are!
If you want more flexibility from your travel, try one of our great-value day bundles tickets to save you money.
Just need three days of travel in a week or maybe you only use the bus Monday to Friday? However you travel, we’ve got a bundle to suit you, and the bigger the bundle, the more you save!
Know you need to travel for the whole week? Our week ticket gives you unlimited travel across the First Cymru network for 7 consecutive days.
A First Bus app exclusive and one of the most affordable ways to travel, giving unlimited travel across the First Cymru network for an entire month.
Travelling as a group? Enjoy a discounted day ticket for up to 5 people, of any age, across the entire First Cymru network.
Travelling with more than one bus company to make your journey? Multi-operator tickets can make these journeys easier and cheaper!
Other tickets
Swansea University students can access discounted single and day tickets on all UniBws services. But these discounted single and day tickets can only be accessed by using Tap On, Tap Off. Students buying their tickets on bus will be charged full adult fares.
There are also annual, term and summer tickets available for unlimited travel across the entire network.
Unlimited bus travel on both First and other bus services that you add to your train ticket. So you pay for your complete train and bus journey in one easy transaction. PlusBus tickets are available to many destinations across the UK, including: Swansea, Bridgend and Cardiff.
First Unlimited, the most convenient way to pay monthly for your bus ticket and save money!
First Unlimited is a monthly subscription ticket delivered straight to your mobile. Your ticket will be automatically renewed taking away the hassle of repeat purchasing.
By signing up to First Unlimited you could save money off your bus ticket.
For a monthly payment, you’ll have unlimited travel on all First Cymru services. After the initial card payment your monthly payment will be taken automatically by Direct Debit and a new First Unlimited mTicket is automatically activated in your wallet on our First Bus App.
If you're aged 60 or over, you can travel for free across all First Cymru services.

The Commuter Travel Club is an employee benefits scheme, offering discounted bus travel across the entire First Cymru network.
If your employer has joined the scheme you can sign-up and get unlimited bus travel across our entire network. Being part of the Commuter Travel Club means you can use the bus for work or leisure and pay less than buying a ticket each month. It’s easy to sign up and payment is really convenient with an automatic monthly subscription taken by Direct Debit.
