Aged 16-21? The Welsh Government is funding cheaper bus fares for young people in Wales.
On all First Bus services in Wales* you’ll be able to travel for:

How to Get Your Free mytravelpass
Are you eligible?
If you’re aged 16–21, you can apply for a mytravelpass – no matter where in the UK you live.
It’s perfect if you’re travelling by bus in Wales regularly.
Once you’ve got it, your pass will stay valid right up until your 22nd birthday.

What you'll need
When you apply through the Transport for Wales website you'll need to supply some proof including a photo of yourself and your address.
But applying shouldn't take longer than 5 minutes.

Once your pass arrives, just buy your tickets - either in advance on the First Bus app or from the driver - and show your card as you board.
Remember though that you will need to show your mytravelpass whenever you board, so have it at the ready to avoid any delays.
Your mytravelpass offers great savings on single, return and day tickets but you can also but longer term tickets on the First Bus app if you're going to be travelling often!
There are also a range of tickets just for students at Swansea University, Bridgend College, Gower College Swanse and the NPTC Group of Colleges.

Show your mytravelpass card to the bus driver, who will take the correct amount off the cost of your ticket. If you fancy speedier boarding, don't forget that many of our discounted mytravelpass tickets can be purchased through our app - just remember to show the driver your card as you scan your mTicket.
Your card will provide approx 1/3 off the equivalent full adult bus fare that you would otherwise be charged for tickets purchased on board the bus. Some of our tickets are cheaper than standard adult tickets - our range of tickets specifically for students for example. Your mytravelpass would then give you an additional saving!
You can use mytravelpass at any time of day and on any day of the week that the services operate, including weekends and bank holidays. There is no restriction on the type of journey you make when you use mytravelpass. Your journey can be for school or college, visiting friends and leisure.
Anyone living in Wales aged 16 to 21 can use mytravelpass. You should have a permanent address in Wales or attend full time education in Wales. Only the person to whom the card is registered to and whose photograph appears on the card is able to use mytravelpass.
If anyone else attempts to use the card then this will be considered as fraud and the card will be cancelled. You may also face the risk of prosecution.
If you are in full time education in Wales and you fit the age criteria then you are entitled to a mytravelpass.
The scheme is only available if you live in Wales permanently or during term time (if you are a student in full time education).
