Balmore Road now open and services returning to normal

Balmore Road Police closure.

During the closure all stops will be observed and the following diversion will be in operation.

Service 7, 7A towards Summerston:
Normal route Balmore Road at Bilsland Drive, left into Bilsland Drive, right into Maryhill Road, right into Sandbank Street, right into Thornton Street, left into Cottar Street, right into Glenburn Street, right into Cadder Road, right into Thornton Street, right into Sandbank Street, normal route

Service 7, 7A towards Rutherglen:
Normal route Glenburn Street at Cadder Road, right into Cadder Road, right into Thornton Street, left into Sandbank Street, left into Maryhill Road, left into Bilsland Drive, right into Balmore Road, normal route

Service 8 towards QEUH:
Normal route Ashgill Road, left into Balmore Road, right into Bilsland Drive and follow 7 diversion to Summerston

Service 8 towards Parkhead:
Follow 7 diversion to Balmore Road, left into Balmore Road, right into Ashgill Road, normal route.

Townhill Road Closed

226 service to Fairhill
Normal route to Brankholm Brae, at Fleming way, left Fleming Way, right Hillhouse Rd, at Farm Rd continue Hillhouse rd, right Clarkwell Rd to top of road, left Townhill Rd normal route.

Due to badly parked cars on Glendinning Road

Services 16 & X4 to divert as below

X4 to City / 16 to the terminus
Normal route to Avenel Road, diverting left in to Wyvil Ave, right in to Rotherwood Ave, to reach normal route.

Services are back to normal after earlier disruption

Due to ice at Penilee Terminus, services will divert as follows: 

To Penilee via Bowfield Drive, Bowfield Crescent and terminate across from the terminus.

To Braehead, the normal route, omitting the turning circle.

Service 241, 242, 266 & X11

Due to works at Bellziehill Roundabout, services are experiencing delays up to 40 minutes.

Service M3 | Firhill Road | Road Closure

Due to a road closure on Firhill Road, services are diverting as follows:

Service M3 towards Milton via Possil Road, Saracen Street, Balmore Road, Stronend Street, (at Lidl), Panmure Street, Wester Common Drive, normal route.

Service M3 towards City via Panmure Street, Stonend Street, Balmore Road, Saracen Street, Possil Road, Garscube Road, normal route

Services 1, 1A

West Bridge End, Dumbarton is closed due to ongoing road works, for approximately 4 weeks.

Services will terminate at the Quay and divert via Glasgow Road.

George Square North Closure

Due to Avenues work from Monday 12th January for approximately 3 months, George Square North will close.

During the closure, services will use Bath Street/Cathedral Bridge in both directions with bus stops installed on Bath Street towards Cathedral Street.

Service 6A towards City Centre

Diverting via Renfrew Street, Killermont Street, North Hanover Street and Cathedral Bridge.

The last stop for passengers is Killermont St at Buchanan Bus Station. No boarding or alighting at Cathedral Bridge.

Service 6A towards Drumchapel

From Cathedral Bridge diverting via Bath Street, serve bus stop 60904044 on Bath Street opposite Sainsbury’s, Renfield Street,  St Vincent Street and Hope Street.

Services 19, 38 / 38A / 38B / 38C / 38E, 57 / 57A towards Cathedral Street

Diverting via West George Street, West Nile Street, Bath Street/Cathedral Bridge and Cathedral Street.

Service 41 towards Easterhouse

Diverting via West Nile Street, Bath Street/Cathedral Bridge, Cathedral Street, Castle Street, Cathedral Square, John Knox Street and Duke Street.

Service 398 towards Buchanan Bus Station

Diverting via West George Street, serve bus stop 609085 on West George Street, West Nile Street, Bath Street/Cathedral Bridge and North Hanover Street.

Service 500 towards Buchanan Bus Station

Diverting via West George Street, serve bus stop 609085 on West George Street, West Nile Street, Killermont Street to Buchanan Bus Station.

Service 500 towards Glasgow Airport

From Buchanan Bus Station, Killermont Street, North Hanover Street, Cathedral Bridge, Bath Street, Renfield Street and St Vincent Street.

During the works at George Square North, the following bus stops will not be served.

Due to works being carried out from Monday 5th January there will be lane restrictions on George Square to allow works and bus stop 609073 George Square South (Greggs) will be closed until lane restrictions have been removed. 

Please use the next stop on St Vincent Place.

Service 500

To allow for motorway works on Tuesday 6th January and Wednesday 7th January M8 J24-26 West Bound will be closed between 20:00 and 06:00 each night

During the closure the following diversion will be in operation.

Diverting via Helen Street, Paisley Road West, Sandwood Road, Hillington Road to on slip M8 J26 West Bound to normal route.
