How To Travel on Your Service
A quick guide to all changes on your routes – new services, replacements, frequency updates, and timetable adjustments.

| 202 | Your service is being replaced by new Service 211! Which now runs on Saturdays, operates hourly throughout the day and offers improved connections beyond Maxim Park to places like Holytown, New Stevenston, Motherwell and Hamilton. |
| 226 | Keep travelling as you do today! There are no changes to this service. |
| 227 | If you travel between Hamilton and Whitehill, you should now use new Service 225, which runs every hour (and every 30 minutes in the morning peak). If you travel between Little Earnock, Laighstonehall and Hamilton Bus Station, Service 227 continues to run every 30 minutes as it does today. |
| 229 | Your service is being replaced by new Service 211, which continues to run hourly Monday to Saturday while also offering new direct connections beyond Hamilton Town Centre. |
| 240 | We’re introducing a new timetable to improve punctuality, with earlier morning journeys Monday to Saturday - ideal for customers travelling to early shifts. |

Your service is being replaced by new circular services 291 and 293, these services serve the same destinations, but run in opposite directions so you can choose the most convenient way to travel. They will offer faster links between Cleland and Motherwell as well as earlier and later buses. The new service 243 will now serve North Motherwell and provide direct journeys to Motherwell, Craigneuk, Wishaw General, Wishaw, Carluke, Braidwood and Lanark, including evenings and on Sundays. |

Your service now runs every approximately 30 minutes. Services 209, 211 and 242 will operate up to 5 buses per hour between Motherwell and New Stevenston. Services 209 and 211 will operate up to 3 buses per hour between Motherwell and Holytown. |
| 254 | Your service is being replaced by new circular services 291 and 293, these services serve the same destinations, but run in opposite directions so you can choose the most convenient way to travel. Both services 291 and 293 will operate new through connections to Wishaw General Hospital and buses later into the evenings. |

| X11 | A new timetable will introduce buses every 30 minutes Monday to Saturday, with later journeys from Newmains to Glasgow on all days and improved Sunday services, including more frequent and earlier and later buses. |
| X43 | Buses will now run through to Hamilton Bus Station, making it easier to connect to Glasgow Fort, while weekend frequencies remain unchanged. |
New Services & Routes
New service offering local links between Bellshill and Motherwell.
From 29th March 2026.
We're bringing the bus closer to your home with new connections up to every 30 minutes. The new service 209 travels between Bellshill Hattonrigg Road/Clay Crescent and Motherwell Town Centre, serving Mossend and New Stevenston.
New service replacing the 202 and 229, providing cross-Lanarkshire links.
From 29th March 2026.
Your new 211 introduces new links across Lanarkshire up to every 60 minutes. The new service 211 travels between Airdrie, Thrashbush and Hamilton, Eddlewood, serving Cairnhill, Calderbank, Maxim Park, Holytown, Motherwell, North Lodge and Silvertonhill.
We're combining part of service 227 with service U1 into one simple service.
From 29th March 2026.
We're introducing buses every 30 minutes in the morning peaks and every 60 minutes for the rest of the day.
This new service combines the Whitehill section of the service 227 with the entire U1 route, offering a simpler way to get around. It will operate via Hamilton Town Centre with Whitehill, Burnbank and UWS/Hamilton Technology Park.
New high-frequency service linking Lanark, Carluke, Wishaw and Motherwell.
From 29th March 2026.
We're introducing buses every 15 minutes Monday to Friday, every 20 minutes on Saturdays and every hour in the evenings and on Sundays.
Linking Lanark, Braidwood, Carluke, Wishaw, Wishaw General Hospital, Motherwell and North Motherwell, this frequent, reliable service is here to make everyday journeys easier.
A new circular service offering better connections and quicker journeys around Lanarkshire.
From 29th March 2026.
Our new circular Services 291 (clockwise) and 293 (anti‑clockwise) will operate approx. every 15 minutes Monday to Saturday and hourly on Sundays. These new services will operate through Motherwell, Muirhouse, Wishaw General, Wishaw, Coltness, Cleland, Newarthill and Carfin.
These new circular routes will provide better connections and quicker journeys for customers travelling around the local area. Including later evening journeys for Carfin, Newarthill and Cleland along with a new Sunday service for Cleland.
A fast new express service connecting Newarthill, Holytown, Bellshill and Burnhead to Glasgow.
From 20th April 2026.
Operating every 60 minutes, the new service X44 offers fast connections via the M8 to the heart of Glasgow City Centre.
Enjoy quick, direct connections between Newarthill , Holytown, Mossend, Bellshill, Burnhead and Glasgow Cathedral Street and Buchanan Bus Station.

Replaced Services

Replaced by the new service 211, offering better connections and now running hourly all day, with new Saturday journeys added.

The service 241 will be replaced by new circular routes 291 & 293 which will provide better connections and quicker journeys for customers travelling around the local area as well as later evening journeys for Carfin, Newarthill & Cleland.
North Motherwell will now be served by new Service 243 which will offer links to Motherwell, Wishaw General, Wishaw, Carluke & Lanark along with a new evening service and improved links on Sundays.

Service Changes

The service 227 will continue to operate between Hamilton Bus Station, Laighstonehall and Little Earnock up to every 30 minutes. Customers travelling to Whitehill should use the new service 225.

We're introducing a new timetable to make your journeys more reliable. Along with new early morning journeys between Birkenshaw and Overtown to help commuters and those travelling to Wishaw General Hospital.

A new and improved timetable is coming with buses up to every 30 minutes Monday to Saturday, and up to every 45 minutes on Sundays. We're also introducing earlier and later journeys throughout the week.

Following a successful launch in late 2025, this express service is extending to Hamilton, offering connections with Glasgow Fort up to every 60 minutes on Saturday and Sunday.
