MAJOR BRIDGE REFURBISHMENTS ON THE M8 BETWEEN JUNCTIONS 25 AND 25A COMMENCES TUESDAY 15th MARCH 

Amey, on behalf of Transport Scotland as part of the Network Management Contract for the South-West Trunk Road Unit, are undertaking essential bridge refurbishment work on the M8 between Junctions 25 (Cardonald) and 25A (Braehead) from Tuesday 15th March until Thursday 30th June 2022. Traffic management will be in operation throughout the duration of the works. 

This scheme, with a value of approximately £2,000,000, will benefit road users on this key route, by ensuring the continued safe and reliable operation of the trunk road and reducing the need for more extensive maintenance in the future. 

The refurbishment works are being undertaken on three bridges between Junctions 25 and 25A of the westbound M8 motorway and include bridge deck waterproofing, concrete repairs, parapet upgrades, drainage improvements and resurfacing works.
