Bus stop closure Highburgh Road - 4 & 4A

Due to heavy traffic at St Vincent's Street caused by filming and temporary traffic lights, we are seeing delays of up to 30 minutes. 

Services will divert as follows: Ingram St, High St, Castle St, Cathedral St, North Hanover St. 

Due to a building fire on Wishaw Main Street, services will divert as follows: 

Service 240 & 242:
To Motherwell via Caledonia Road, Wishaw Main Street, Kirk Road, Lammermuir Terrace, Kitchener Street, Dryburgh Road, Main Street to normal route.

Service 241 & 266: 
To Motherwell via Kirk Road, Wishaw Main Street, Caledonia Road, Station Road, Dundyvan Road, Belhaven Road, Wishaw Main Street to normal route.

Service 240, 242, 241 & 266:
To Pather/Overtown/Newmains/Shotts via Wishaw Main Street, Dryburgh Road, Kitchener Street, Lammermuir Terrace, Kirk Road to normal route. 

UPDATE - Road open and route returned to normal as of 11:20.
 

Services 240, 241, 242, 266

Wishaw Main Street has been closed due to emergency services due to a suspected building fire.

Services are diverting as follows:

Service 240, 242 to Motherwell - via Kirk Road, Lammermuir Terrace, Kitchener Street, Dryburgh Road and Main Street.

Service 241, 266 to Motherwell - via Caledonia Road, Alexander Street, Heathery Roundabout and Netherton Street.

To Pather/Overtown/Newmains/Shotts - via Dryburgh Road, Kitchener Street, Lammermuir Terrace and Kirk Road.

Update 07:27 - Latest update from police closure will be on for next few hours building control will now need to access integrity of building before road reopens.

To allow for emergency water works, from Thursday 7th August until the works are complete, Westwood Road heading to West Crindledyke ONLY is closed.

During the closure all stops will be observed and the following diversion will be in operation:

Normal route to Newmains roundabout, Bonkle Road, Muirhouse Avenue, Abernethyn Road, Eastwood Drive, Westwood Road, normal route.

Due to building works, bus stop 6090297 at Highburgh Road before Byres Road will be closed from Friday 2nd May until works are completed (approximately 24 weeks).

A temporary stop will be in place. 
 

Service 226 diversion

Brankholm Brae Hillhouse is inaccessible for Service 226 and this service will operate a diversion until further notice. Passengers who usually board on Brankholm Brae should use an alternative stop on Townhill Road.

Normal route, Thornhill Road at Fleming Way, Fleming Way, Townhill Road.

Services 60 60A 61 & M3 Phoenix Road To allow for works, on Saturday 22nd July until August 2025

Phoenix Road will fully close.

Services 60,60A & 61 towards Parkhead Will divert St Georges Place, left St Georges Road right Garscube Road normal route.

Services 60,60A & 61 towards Maryhill Will divert Garscube Road, left St Georges Road, right St Georges Place, right Maryhill Road normal route.

Service M3 towards City Centre Will divert Garscube Road.

Service M3 towards Milton Will divert Garscube Road.
