Balshagray Avenue / 4 & 4A / DIVERSION / 9th - 10th of April 2026

To allow for resurfacing works, from Tuesday 7th April until Thursday 9th April, Paisley Road West will be closed Eastbound between Tweedsmuir Road and Berryknowes Road.

During the closure all stops will be observed and the following diversion will be in operation.

Service  9 & 9A towards Buchanan Bus Station:

Normal route Paisley Road Wet at Tweedsmuir Road, into Kinsland Drive,  into Berryknowes Road, into Paisley Road West, normal route.

Emergency Closure Cathedral Street Tuesday 31st March 18:00 until works are completed.

To allow for Emergency works on Tuesday 31st March 18:00 until works are completed Cathedral Street will be closed both ways at North Hanover Street.

During the closure the following diversion will be in operation.

Service 19 towards City: Royston Road continue onto Baird Street, Kyle Street, North Hanover Street, onto Cathedral Street then normal route.

Service 19 towards Easterhouse: Normal route to Cathedral Bridge, onto North Hanover Street, Kyle Street, Baird Street, onto Royston Road then normal route.

Service 41 towards Easterhouse: Normal route to Cathedral Bridge, onto North Hanover Street, Kyle Street, Baird Street, Castle Street, Alexandra Parade, Wishart Street John Knox Street, onto Duke Street then normal route.

Services 38s towards Alexandra Parade: Normal route to Cathedral Bridge, onto North Hanover Street, Kyle Street, Baird Street, Castle Street, onto Alexandra Parade then normal route.

Service 38s towards City: Normal route to Alexandra Parade, onto Castle Street, Baird Street, Kyle Street, North Hanover Street, onto Cathedral Street then normal route.

Service 57 & 57A towards Petershill Road: Normal route to Cathedral Bridge, onto North Hanover Street, Dobbies Loan, Kennedy Street, St Mungo Street, St James Road onto Stirling Road then normal route.

Services 57 57A towards Shawlands: Normal route to Springburn Expressway, onto Charles Street, Royston Road, Baird Street, Kyle Street, North Hanover Street, onto Cathedral Street Bridge then normal route.

East Kilbride Road at Cathkin roundabout.

Bus stops 6150729 and 6150730 are closed

Services 18,18A, N18

To allow for signal upgrades, bus stops on East Kilbride Road at Cathkin Roundabout 6150729 and 6150730 will be closed from Monday, 30th March for up to 6 weeks.

To allow for Scottish Power works, from Monday 6th April until Friday 17th April, Victoria Place at Woodburn Avenue will be closed.

During the closure, all stops will be observed, and the following diversion will be in operation.

Service 211 towards Eddlewood:

The services are diverting via Broomknoll Street at Victoria Place, Cairnhill Road, and the normal route.

Service 211 towards Thrashbush:

The services are diverting via Cairnhill Road at Woodburn Avenue, Cairnhill Road, Broomknoll Street, and the normal route.

To allow for Scottish Water works, from Wednesday 8th April until Sunday 12th April, South Biggar Road will be closed between Gartleahill and Carlisle Road.

During the closure, all stops will be observed, and the following diversion will be in operation.

Service 201 towards Petersburn:

The service is diverting via Weavers Road at Gartlea Road, Gartlea Road, Graham Street, Clark Street, Carlisle Road, and the normal route.

Service 201 towards Hairmyres:

The service is diverting via Carlisle Road at South Biggar Road, Carlisle Road, Clark Street, Graham Street, Gartlea Road, Weavers Road, and the normal route.

To allow for M8 bridge works at Hillington Interchange, from Monday 6th April until Sunday morning 12th April, between 20:00 and 06:00 each night, Hillington Road Northbound under the M8 will be closed.

During the closure all stops will be observed and the following diversion will be in operation.

Service 9A that operates to Braehead:

The service is diverting via Paisley Road West at Berryknowes Road, Berryknowes Road, Meiklewood Road, Shieldhall roundabout into Shieldhall Road, Renfrew Road, Kings Inch Road, normal route.

Service 9A from Braehead is normal route.

To allow for overhead cable works, on Tuesday, 7th April.

Castlehill Road between Bluebell Wynd and Caplaw Grove will be closed.

During the closure, all stops will be observed, and the following diversion will be in operation.

Service 240 towards Motherwell:

The service is diverting via Overtown depot, Castlehill Road, Main Street, Overtown Road, Wishaw Road, Stewarton Street, Main Street, and the normal route.

Service 240 towards Overtown:

The service is diverting via Main Street Wishaw, Stewarton Street, Wishaw Road, Overtown Road, Main Street, Castlehill Road to the depot.

Service 242 towards Pather from Overtown depot:

The service is diverting via Overtown depot, Castlehill Road, Main Street, Overtown Road, Wishaw Road, Stewarton Street, Caledonian Road, Lomond Drive towards Pather.

Service 242 from Pather towards Overtown depot:

The service is diverting via Lomond Drive, Castlehill Road, Caledonian Road, Stewarton Street and following the diversion towards Overtown depot.

To allow for resurfacing works on the 1st - 10th April,  Maryhill Road at Shiskine Drive  will be closed.

During the closure the following diversion will be in operation.

Service 60 & 60A towards Canniesburn Toll.                               

Normal route to Maryhill Road at Cowal Road, Skaethorn Road, Dalsholm Road,  Temple Road, Bearsden Road & Switchback Road.

 Service 60 & 60A will take the first and second exit at Canniesburn Toll to the normal route.                    

Service 60 towards Maryhill Road,                                                           

Normal route to Canniesburn Toll, Switchback Road, Railway Bridge, Temple Road, Skaethorn Road, Cowal Road, Maryhill Road & to the normal route.

Service 60A towards Maryhill Road,                                                       

Normal route to Milngavie Road, Maryhill Road, Macfarlane Road, Canniesburn Toll, Switchback Road, Temple Road, Skaethorn Road, Cowal Road & the normal route.

Service 9A | Hillington Road Northbound

To allow for M8 bridge works at Hillington interchange, from Monday 30th March until Sunday morning 5th April between 20:00 and 06:00 each night, Hillington Road Southbound under the M8 will be closed.

During the closure all stops will be observed and the following diversion will be in operation.
Please advise passengers before going on diversion and where next stop is.

Service 9A from Braehead:
Normal route to Kings Inch Road, 1st exit at roundabout into Renfrew Road, 3rd exit at next roundabout into Shieldhall Road, 4th exit at Shieldhall roundabout into Meiklewood Road, Berryknowes Road, left into Paisley Road West, normal route.

Service 9A towards Braehead is normal route.
