1/1A Services - A82 Milton - service delays

Due to a fire in City Centre on Sunday, 8th March, many Streets are closed until further notice.

During the closure, the following diversions will be in operation.

service 1,1A,1C, 1E and x4 towards city centre                                                 

Using Argyle Street, the service is diverting Argyle Street, James Watt Street, Broomielaw Clyde Street, Stockwell Street, Howard Street.

Service: 2 towards Baillieston,                                                                   

The service is diverting via West George Street, Wellington Street, Robertson Street, Broomielaw, Oswald Street, Argyle Street, normal route.

Service 3 normal diversion to Govan

The service is diverting via Renfield Street, St Vincent Street, Wellington Street,  Robertson Street, Broomielaw, Oswald Street, Argyle Street, Jamaica Street, the normal route.

 Service 4 and 4A towards Victoria Road

The service is diverting via Renfield Street, St Vincent Street, Wellington Street, Robertson Street, Broomielaw, Glasgow Bridge, and the normal route.

Service 6 towards EK

The service is diverting via Renfield Street, St Vincent Street, Wellington Street, Robertson Street,  Broomielaw Street, Oswald Street, Argyle Street, the normal route.

Service 7, 7A and 75 Towards Gorbals

Service 9 9A from BBS

Service 18 18A towards East Kilbride

The service is diverting via Renfield Street, St Vincent Street, Wellington Street, Robertson Street,  Broomielaw Street, Oswald Street, Argyle Street, and the normal route.                                                       

Service 21 from Cochrane Street

The service is diverting via Renfield Street, St Vincent Street, Wellington Street, Robertson Street,  Broomielaw Street, Oswald Street, Argyle Street, and the normal route.

Service: 38, 38A, 38B, 38C, 38E, 57, 57A  Towards Shawlands

The service is diverting via Renfield Street, St Vincent Street, Wellington Street,  Robertson Street, Broomielaw, Oswald Street, Argyle Street, Jamaica Street, and the normal route.

Services 38 B & C terminating Jamaica Street

The service is diverting via Renfield Street, St Vincent Street, Wellington Street, Robertson Street, Broomielaw, and Oswald Street. Hope St,  Normal Route

The service is diverting via Renfield Street, St Vincent Street, Wellington Street, Robertson Street,  Broomielaw Street, Oswald Street, Argyle Street, and the normal route.

Service 398 loop

The service is diverting via Renfield Street, St Vincent Street, Wellington Street, Robertson Street,  Broomielaw Street, Oswald Street, Hope Street, and the normal route.                   

Night services N2 N18 N240 N267

The service is diverting via Renfield Street, St Vincent Street, Wellington Street, Robertson Street,  Broomielaw Street, Oswald Street, Argyle Street, and the normal route

( N18 & N267 will observe the bus stop on Argyle Street at Frasers).

To allow for resurfacing works, from Monday the 18th of March 08:00 until the 24th of March 2026 20:00, Ashgill Road will be closed between Ashfield Street and Colston Road.​

During the closure all stops will be observed and the following diversion will be in operation:

Service 75 towards Milton:​

Normal route to Hawthorn Street at Ashfield Street, Hawthorn Street, Springburn Road, Colston Road, Ashgill Road, and the normal route.​

Service 75 towards Castlemilk:​

Normal route to Ashgill Road at Colston Road, Springburn Road, Hawthorn Street and the normal route.​

A82 Road Closure

Evening of Sunday 22nd March 2026

The A82 westbound will be closed overnight between Dunglass Roundabout and Dumbuck Junction for essential utility works linked to the Bowling Strategic Development site.

We have worked with West Dunbartonshire Council to explore possible solutions, but a full road closure is unavoidable. As a result, we are unable to operate direct Service 1/1A journeys between Dumbarton and Glasgow on the evening of Sunday 22nd March.

The last direct journeys will be:

19:41 (Service 1) from Dumbarton to Glasgow, Howard Street

21:00 (Service 1A) from Glasgow, Howard Street to Dumbarton

To keep people moving, we will operate two shuttle services:

Service 1: Glasgow – Scotstoun – Clydebank – Old Kilpatrick – Bowling

Service 1A: West Bridgend – Dumbarton Town Centre – Bellsmyre – Stirling Road

Local services 204, 205 and 206 will operate as normal.

These circumstances are not within our control, and our teams are working hard to ensure our passengers can keep moving during the disruption.

Road has now re-opened.

Services 201, 263 & U1, High Blantyre Road at Russell Street closed both ways

To allow for resurfacing works on Monday 16th March until Friday 20th March, High Blantyre Road at Russell Street will be closed.

During the closure all stops will be observed and the following diversion will be in operation.

Services 201, 263 & U1 towards High Blantyre Road                                                                      

Normal route High Blantyre Road at Udston Road, Farm Road, Hillhouse Road, East Avenue, Second Road, Main Street then normal route.

Services 201, 263 & U1 towards Burnbank

Normal route Main Street, Second Street, East Avenue, onto Hillhouse Road, Farm Road, Udston Road, High Blantyre Road then normal route.

Crossgates 

To allow for resurfacing works, from Thursday 12th March until Saturday 21st March, this stop will be out of use. 

The nearest alternative stops are located: 

Service 240 & N240 

Hamilton Road at Neilson Street 

Bellshill Road after Calder Road 

To allow for resurfacing works, from Thursday the 12th of March until the 21st of March, Crossgates will be closed.​

During the closure all stops will be observed and the following diversion will be in operation.​

Service 240 & N240 towards Motherwell:​

Normal route Hamilton Road, Neilson Street, Motherwell Road, John Street, Thorn Road, Main Street, Calder Road, & Bellshill Road to the normal route.

Due to the ongoing works on Argyle Street until Friday the 20th of  March, Wellington Street is closed at the junction of Argyle Street.​

During the closure the following diversion will be in operation.​

Service 38B/C/E that terminate on Renfield Street:​

Wellington Street, Holm Street, Hope Street, Blythswood Street, James Watt Street, Broomielaw, Oswald Street & Hope Street to the normal route.

To allow for resurfacing works on Tuesday 6th January until Friday 20th March Argyle Street between York Street and Hope Street will be closed.

During the closure all stops will be observed and the following diversion will be in operation.

Service 1, 1A, 1C, 1E, X4 towards City: Normal route Argyle Street at James Watt Street, James Watt Street, Broomielaw, Clyde Street, Stockwell Street, Howard Street to terminus.

Towards City Centre, bus stops on Argyle Street at Central Station, Argyle Street at Frasers/Buchanan Street, Ingram Street and Stockwell Street opposite Argos will not be served during this time. Temporary bus stops will be in operation on Broomielaw.

Service 1, 1A, 1C, 1E, X4 towards Scotstoun: Normal route Howard Street at Jamaica Street, Jamaica Street, Broomielaw, Brown Street, Argyle Street, normal route.
