There will be overnight roadworks taking place on Sadlers Farm Roundabout, Benfleet from Friday 20th June 2025 to Saturday 12th July 2025 - Monday to Friday ONLY. 

The road(s) are to be closed from 21:00hrs each evening and will re-open from 05:00hrs each morning.

Due to the nature of these works, the diversion routes and missed bus stops will change dependent on the scheduled works for the day:

Towards Basildon: Normal line of route - all bus stops served.

Towards Southend-on-Sea: The 28 service will divert via the A130, A127 and Rayleigh Road. The following bus stops will not be served:

  • Bartley Road
  • Tarpots Corner
  • Southwold Crescent
  • Waverley Road
  • Kents Hill Road North
  • Glen Road
  • Kenneth Road
  • USP College
  • Warren Chase
  • Shipwrights Drive North
  • Victoria House Corner.

Sadlers Farm Roundabout will be closed for overnight roadworks - from 21:00hrs each evening and reopening from 05:00hrs each morning. The 28 service will divert in both directions via the B1464 and A13.

The following bus stops will not be served in both directions:

  • Church Road
  • St Margaret's School
  • Pound Lane
