*Update added 13/01/2026* The diversion route for the 71 service has been amended. The 71 service is unable to use diversion route (via the A120 and Coggeshall Road) due to road closures in Coggeshall and Tiptree.

The A12 (Colchester to Kelvedon Junction 25 to unction 23 (south-bound)) will be closed for overnight roadworks (21:00 - 05:00) from 14/01/2026 to 17/01/2026.

This road closure will only impact one journey each night: 

  • Service 71 - 21:15 Colchester, Osborne Street > Chelmsford Bus Station 22:23.
  • This journey will terminate at Marks Tey Railway Station.
  • *All bus stops between (and including) Prested Hall and Chelmsford Bus Station will not be served*
