A section of Mersea Road (B1025), Colchester will be closed for roadworks from Monday 8th January to Friday 19th January 2024.

Due to the location of the roadworks, services S8, 68 and 86 will be placed on the following diversion (in both directions):

• leaving Colchester City Centre services S8, 68 and 86 will divert via Military Road, Old Heath Road, Barn Hall Avenue, Churchill Way, Stalin Road and Normandy Avenue before returning to normal line of route on Mersea Road B1025 (south-bound direction).
• heading towards Colchester City Centre services S8, 68 and 86 will divert via Normandy Avenue, Stalin Road, Churchill Way, Barn Hall Avenue and Old Heath Road before returning to normal line of route via Military Road.

Whilst services S8, 68 and 86 are placed on diversion the following bus stops will not be served (in both directions):

• Town Railway Station (Stop C)
• Napier Road
• Plum Hall
• Pownall Crescent
• Cemetery Gates
