Baddow Road, Chelmsford is closed for overnight roadworks from Tuesday 29th July to Friday 1st August 2025.

The road will be closed from 20:00hrs each evening and will re-open from 05:00hrs each morning.

  • 20:00hrs 29/07/2025 to 05:00hrs 30/07/2025 
  • 20:00hrs 30/07/2025 to 05:00hrs 31/07/2025 
  • 20:00hrs 31/07/2025 to 05:00hrs 01/08/2025 

Due to the location of the road closure - the C7, 31 and 336 services will be placed on diversion:

C7

The C7 service will divert in both directions via Dorset Avenue, Beehive Lane and Longfield Road. The following bus stops will not be served in both directions:

  • Rothmans Avenue
  • Vineyards
  • The Kings Head
  • Lyster Avenue / Tyrells Way
  • Rifhams Drive
  • Tabors Avenue

31 / 336

The 31 / 336 services will divert in both directions via the A1114. The following bus stops will not be served in both directions:

  • Meadgate Avenue
  • The Beehive
  • Longfield Road / Chelmerton Avenue
  • The Blue Lion
  • The Kings Head
