Stock Road, Chelmsford is closed for two sets of weekend roadworks - Sat 5th & Sun 6th July and Sat 12th & Sun 13th July 2025.

Due to the location of the road closure - the C1, C7 and 13/13A/13B services will be placed on diversion:

C1

Towards Galleywood: The C1 service will divert via Beehive Lane, Stock Road and Watchouse Road. Journeys will terminate at o/s Skinners Lane Shops bus stop.

Towards Chelmsford City Centre: The C1 service will start journeys at o/s Skinners Lane Shops bus stop.

The following bus stops will not be served:

*Services 13/13A/13B are diverting via Barnard Road and will be able to pick-up/drop-off at bus stops: Well Lane, West Lawn and Barnard Road Co-op - if requested*

Towards Galleywood: Normal line of route - All bus stops served.

Towards Chelmsford City Centre: The C7 service will divert via Stock Road, Beehive Lane and Skinner's Lane.

The 13/13A/13B services will divert in both directions via Watchouse Road, Barnard Road, Well Lane and Ponds Road. All bus stops served as normal.

07:15 - Stanway to Highwoods - journey CANCELLED.

Journey to resume at 08:18 - Highwoods to Stanway.

Traffic levels have returned to usual levels - the 100 service has resumed normal line of route.

To maintain punctuality - the 100 service is terminating at Grays Bus Station until further notice. This is due to heavy traffic in and around the South Essex area caused by traffic diverting away from obstructions on the A13 and M25.

~~Customers wishing to board/alight on London Road, Grays or continue onto Lakeside are advised to use Ensign Bus services - 22 or 83.~~

Obstructions on Hythe Hill due to roadworks taking place - the works are scheduled to finish by end of day 30/06/2025.

Service 54 is diverting in both directions via the A134 and Hythe Station Road. The following bus stops will not be served in both directions: Maudlyn Road

We are making minor changes to the Essex bus network from Sunday 1st June 2025.

2A	Highwoods to Horkesley Heath	Minor timetable changes to evening and Sunday journeys to improve the punctuality of the 2A service. This service is operated under contract to Essex County Council. Essex County Council has approved the timetable changes.
X20	Colchester to Stansted Airport (via Braintree)	The X20 service will be re-routed, between Great Dunmow and Stansted Airport, via the B1256, Little Canfield and Takely. The overall number of journeys provided remains unchanged, with some minor timing changes to the timetable to accommodate the re-routing. The change in route provides a weekly/24hr service to Stansted Airport, Great Dunmow, Braintree and Colchester. 45 minute journeys between Braintree and Stansted Airport. The maximum single fare remains at £3 until the end of 2025 (funded by HM Government). This offers great value for journeys from Colchester, Braintree and Great Dunmow to Stansted Airport. For customers travelling between Takeley and Stansted Airport - a maximum £2 single fare will apply.
