High Street, Rayleigh will be closed to traffic for Rayleigh Christmas Lights on Thursday 30th November 2023 between the hours of 13:00 - 21:00.

Due to the location of the road closure, the 3, 20, 25 and X30 services (towards Southend-on Sea) will be placed on diversion and will be unable to serve High Street, Rayleigh.

Journeys towards Basildon/Chelmsford/Stansted Airport

Service 3 will divert after serving The Library bus stop via the A129 before returning to normal line of route on Crown Hill towards Rayleigh Railway Station. The following stop(s) will not be served:

  • High Street
  • Bull Lane
  • Websters Way
  • Eastwood Road

Service 20 will operate to normal route - no diversion

Service 25 will operate to normal route - no diversion

Service X30 will operate to normal route - no diversion

Journeys towards Southend-on Sea

Service 3 will divert after serving Rayleigh Railway Station bus stop via the A129 before returning to normal line of route at The Paul Pry bus stop. The following stop(s) will not be served:

  • High Street
  • Bull Lane
  • Websters Way
  • Eastwood Road

Service 20 will divert after serving Rayleigh Railway Station bus stop via A129 ,Eastwood Road (A1015) and Trinity Road before returning to normal line of route on Grove Road. The following stop(s) will not be served:

  • High Street
  • Bull Lane
  • Parklands Avenue
  • Jubilee Road

Service 25 will divert after serving Rayleigh Railway Station bus stop via A129 before returning to normal line of route on Eastwood Road (A1015). The following stop(s) will not be served:

  • High Street
  • Bull Lane
  • Websters Way

Instead, Eastwood Road bus stop will be served for the duration of the diversion. Journeys from 13:20 to (and including) 20:12 will not serve High Street, Rayleigh.

Service X30 will terminate after serving Rayleigh Railway Station bus stop - hold time - and then will continue journey back to Chelmsford via Wolsey Park.

The following journeys will terminate at Rayleigh Railway Station: 

  • Wolsey Park North 13:31 departure
  • Wolsey Park North 14:41 departure
  • Wolsey Park North 15:36 departure
  • Wolsey Park North 18:46 departure
  • Wolsey Park North 19:45 departure
  • Wolsey Park North 20:45 departure
