London Road and Western Approach (Tollgate), will be closed overnight for roadworks from Thursday 16th November 2023.

Due to the location of the roadworks, the following services will be placed on diversion:

  • towards Colchester - after serving Railway Station (Marks Tey) the X20 and 371 services will divert via the A12 (north-bound), Junction 26, Essex Yeomanry Way (A1124) and London Road (east-bound) before retuning to normal line of route at Barnfields bus stop.
  • towards Stansted Airport/Chelmsford - after serving Tollgate Roundabout bus stop the X20 and 371 services will divert via Essex Yeomanry Way (A1124) and the A12 before returning to normal line of route.

Please be advised - the closest drop-off/pick-up points, will be Tollgate Centre bus stop (by McDonalds, Tollgate) and Lucy Lane South bus stop.

Whilst the services are on diversion the following bus stops will not be served:

  • Motel
  • Copford Lane
  • Westbury Close
  • The Swan Stanway
  • Sparrow Hall
  • St Albright's Church
  • Church Lane
  • Wyvern Farm
  • Sainsburys Store (Stand 1)
