Whitehall Rd/Haven Rd/Colne Causeway, Colchester  will be subject to a road closure from Thursday 25th January to Wednesday 31st January 2024 (between 20:00 and 06:00 overnight closures only).

The S1 service will be placed on the following diversion for the duration of the road closures:

Towards Wivenhoe (outbound journey) - the S1 service will divert after serving Garrison Church bus stop via Wimpole Road, Barrack Street (A134), Hythe Hill-Hythe Quay-Hythe Station Road, Hawkins Road and Lightship Way before returning to normal line of route.

Towards Highwoods (inbound journey) - the S1 service will divert after serving University Quays bus stop via Hawkins Road, Hythe Station Road-Hythe Quay-Hythe Hill, Barrack Street (A134) and Wimpole Road before returning to normal line of route.

The following stops will not be served during this diversion:

  • Albany Gardens
  • Commerce Way
  • Grange Way
  • Old Heath Post Office
  • Barn Hall Avenue
  • Scarletts Road
  • Worsnop House
