A section of Coggeshall Road, Braintree  is closed for emergency roadworks until Friday 16th May 2025.

Due to the location of the road closure the 70, 170, X20, X70 and 320 services will be placed on diversion:

70 and 170

Towards Marks Farm Tesco, Braintree: Normal line of route - No diversion. All bus stops served.

Towards Chelmsford: The 70 and 170 services will divert (after serving Marks Farm Tesco) via A131, B1053, Bradford Street and Courtauld Road. The following bus stops will not be served: 

  • Tesco East Store (W-bound)
  • opp Kings Park Village
  • adj Hay Lane
  • opp Dallwood Way
  • o/s Kings Head
  • adj Albert Road

X20, X70 and 320

Towards Colchester: Normal line of route - No diversion. All bus stops served.

Towards Chelmsford: The X20, X70 and 320 services will divert (after serving Dallwood Way) via Cressing Road, Chapel Hill, Lakes Road, Trinovantian Way and Railway Street. The following bus stops will not be served: 

  • o/s Kings Head
  • adj Albert Road
  • Railway Street (S-bound)
