Malting Green Road, Layer de la Haye is partially closed due to roadworks from Tuesday 5th August to Thursday 7th August 2025.

Due to the location of the partial road closure the 56 and 69 services will be placed on diversion:

The 56 service will travel around Layer de la Haye in the opposite direction to normal line of route - via High Road, Malting Green Road, Hawfinch Road and Old Forge Road - All bus stops served - likely minor delays.

Towards Colchester: Normal line of route.

Towards Mersea Island: The 69 service will travel around Layer de la Haye in the opposite direction to normal line of route - diverting via The Folley, High Road, Malting Green Road, Hawfinch Road and Old Forge Road - All bus stops served - likely minor delays.

B3 & B4

High Road, Pitsea has been unexpectantly closed due to burst water main. The permit's end date is: 01/12/2025.

Due to the location of the road closure, the B3 and B4 services have been placed on diversion:

Towards Pitsea: Normal line of route - all bus stops served.
Towards Basildon: The B3 service will divert via Pitsea Road and Wickford Avenue. The following bus stops will not be served: Station Lane, Broadway and Howards Park

*Passengers can board/disembark the B3 service on Wickford Avenue. Please note. bus stops are located on the OPPOSITE side of the road to where the B4 service normally picks-up/drops off passengers.To Basildon Bus Station: Chevers Pawen, Chalvedon School & Dover Court*.

Towards Pitsea: Normal line of route - all bus stops served.
Towards Basildon: The B4 service will not serve Wickford Avenue towards Basildon (*B3 service provides access*) and will divert via Pitsea Road. The following bus stops will not be served: Howards Park, Dover Way, Chalvedon School and Chevers Pawen

Journeys to divert via the A1306, A1012 and A126.
Journeys to terminate/recommence at Grays Bus Station.
