A section of Southend Road (A129), Wickford (EASTBOUND direction ONLY) is closed for roadworks from Monday 11th August to Sunday 31st August 2025.

Due to the location of the road closure - the 25 service will be placed on diversion:

Towards Basildon: Normal line of route - All bus stops served.

Towards Southend-on-Sea: The 25 service will divert via Runwell Road (A132) and A1245. The following bus stops will not be served:

  • Wick Lane
  • Highcliffe Road
  • Alicia Avenue
  • Southend Road Roundabout
  • Old London Road

Any passengers requiring Southend Road and Shotgate will need to travel eastward on a Southend bound service and change to a Basildon bound service where access is open.
