The Colchester Soapbox Rally returns on Sunday 14th September 2025.

Due to the location of the road closure; the 51, 52, 53, 55, 68, 87, 2A and X20 services will be placed on diversion:

Towards Colchester North Station:

From Lexden Road - Services will divert via Balkerne Road and Middleborough before returning to normal line of route.

From Osborne Street - Services will divert via Crouch Street, Queen Street, Maldon Road Roundabout, Balkerne Hill and Middleborough before returning to normal line of route.

Towards Colchester City Centre:

Services will divert via Middleborough, Balkerne Hill, Maldon Road Roundabout, Southway, Headgate and Head Street before returning to normal line of route.

The following bus stops will not be served:

  • Head Street
  • Middleborough
