Lodge Road, Writtle is closed for daily roadworks from 30/06/2026 to 02/07/2026. 

*This is a timed road closure: the road will be closed daily between 09:30hrs and 14:30hrs*

Due to the location of the roadworks - the C4 will be placed on diversion:

Towards Writtle: The C4 will divert via Ongar Road, Bulimers Way, Greenbury Way (A414) and Westway before returning to normal line of route.

The following bus stops will not be served:

  • Chequers Road
  • Lodge Road
  • The Ryle
  • Loves Walk
  • Romans Place
  • St John's Green (towards Chelmsford)
  • Hylands Schools (towards Chelmsford)
  • Hole in Hedge (towards Chelmsford)
  • Robjohns Road (towards Chelmsford)
