Bridge Street, Writtle is closed for daily roadworks on 08/06/2026 and 09/06/2026.

*This is a timed road closure* The road will be closed between 09:30hrs and 14:30hrs

Due to the location of the road closure - the C4 will be placed on diversion:

Towards Writtle: The C4 will divert via Writtle Road, Westway, London Road, A414, Margaretting Road and Lodge Road before returning to normal line of route. The following bus stops will not be served:

  • Hole in Hedge
  • Hylands School
  • St John's Green

Towards Chelmsford: The C4 will divert via Margaretting Road, A414, London Road and Westway before returning to normal line of route. The following bus stops will not be served:

  • Loves Walk
  • Romans Place
  • St John's Green
  • Hylands School
  • Hole in Hedge
  • Robjohns Road
