Broomfield Road, Chelmsford is closed for roadworks from 21/7/2026 to 02/8/20026

Due to the location of the road closure - the C2/C3/C10 will be placed on diversion:

C2

The C2 will divert in both directions via Coval Lane(towards Broomfield), Parkway (towards Broomfield), Rainsford Road, Roxwell Road, Chignal Road and Melbourne Avenue.

The following bus stops will not be served in both directions:

  • The Ship
  • King Edward VI School
  • Keene Home
  • Cockney Corner
  • Corporation Road
  • The Barn
  • North Avenue
  • Tennyson Road

C3

Towards Wickfield Ash - the C3 will divert via Coval Lane, Parkway, Rainsford Road, Chignal Road and Melbourne Avenue.

Towards Chelmsford City Centre - the C3 will divert via Melbourne Avenue, Chignal Road and Rainsford Road.

The following bus stops will not be served in both directions:

  • The Ship
  • King Edward VI School
  • Keene Home
  • Swiss Avenue
  • Kirklees
  • Park Avenue
  • West Avenue
  • Scout Hut
  • Taylor Avenue

C10

Towards Channels - the C10 will divert via Chelmer Valley Road before returning to normal line of route.

Towards Chelmsford City Centre - the C10 will divert via Chelmer Valley Road, Parkway and Broomfield Road Bus Gate.

The following bus stops will not be served in both directions:

  • King Edward VI School
  • Keene Home
  • Kings Road
  • The Drive
  • Patching Hall Lane
