  • *Update added 10/04/2026* The works have been suspended and did not start on 07/04/2026 and will no longer end 14/04/2026. The works permit is now valid from 13/04/2026 to 21/04/2026. The road closure will not be closed all the time - this will be a daily road closure.

Tile Kiln, Chelmsford is closed for roadworks from 13/04/2026 to 21/04/2026.

*This is a timed road closure: the road will be closed daily between 09:00hrs and 16:00hrs*

The following roads will be closed: Firecrest Road, Linnet Drive, Osprey Way and Goshawk Drive.

Due to the location of the road closure - the C1 will divert in both directions via Galleywood Road and Beehive Lane. 

The following bus stops will not be served:

  • Peregrine Drive
  • Goshawk Drive
  • Deadman's Lane
  • Carlton Stables
  • Chelmer Park
  • Skinners Lane Shops
  • Keene Hall

*The C1 will serve the following bus stop(s) whilst on diversion: The Eagle (towards Galleywood)*
