Brentwood Half Marathon Sunday 24th March 2024 10:00hrs to 13:00hrs there will be a number of road closures in place around Brentwood, the organisers have constructed The Marathon route to cause minimal disruption to services, but delays should be expected, below are the services affected and journeys that may experience minor disruption. 

Service 37 

Doddinghurst Road will be closed from 08:00hrs to 13:00hrs bus access will be maintained by marshals on the closure the only journey that is expected to have a short hold will be the 12:24hrs departure from Brentwood Rail Station, runners may still be in Doddinghurst Road as the bus is due to pass through Marshals will put in a short hold and the bus will be given access as soon as it is safe to do so.

Service 80A  towards Brentwood Rail Station 

Shenfield Road will be closed between its junction with Middleton Hall Lane and Wilsons Corner from  09:00hrs to 10:40hrs, the service will be diverted from Shenfield Road, left into Middleton Hall Lane, right into Ingrave Road, left into Wilsons Corner to Brentwood High Street and return line of route. 

Service 351 towards Brentwood Rail Station 

Shenfield Road will be closed between its junction with Middleton Hall Lane and Wilsons Corner from  09:00hrs to 10:40hrs, the service will be diverted from Shenfield Road, left into Middleton Hall Lane, right into Ingrave Road, left at Wilsons Corner to Brentwood High Street and return line of route. 

This is only expected to affect the 11:40hrs departure from Chelmsford to Brentwood.
