Long Riding, Basildon is closed for daily roadworks from 12/10/2026 to 23/10/2026 [excluding the weekend (17th/18th Oct)].

The road will be closed daily between 09:30hrs and 14:30hrs.

Due to the location of the road closure - the B4 / 22 will be placed on diversion:

Towards Pitsea/Canvey Island: The B4 / 22 will divert via Southernhay, Great Oaks, Linkway, Broadmayne and Timberlog Lane [22].

The following bus stops will not be served:

• Thorrington Cross
• Napier Close
• Dengayne
• Stacey's Corner

Towards Basildon: The B4 / 22 will divert via Timberlog Lane [22], Broadmayne and Church Road. 

The following bus stops will not be served:

• Stacey's Corner
• Dengayne
• Napier Close

*Customers can board / disembark the following bus stops (whilst the B4 / 22 are on diversion)*:

• Falkstead (located on Broadmayne)
• Church Road Foot Bridge (located on Broadmayne)
• The Fremnells (located on Broadmayne)
