The Basildon & Pitsea Carnival returns on Saturday 25th July 2026. 

A few roads will be temporarily closed *rolling road closure* to traffic, from 12:30 to 14:00hrs, whilst the event takes place. 

Due to the location of the road closure - the B3 / B5 / 1A / 25 / X10 will be placed on diversion:

B5

The B5 service will divert in both directions via Southernhay, Roundacre, Upper Mayne and Cranes Farm Road.

The following bus stops will not be served in both directions:

• Ghyllgrove Close 
• Audley Way

B3 / 1A / 25

The B3 / 1A / 25 services will divert in both directions via East Mayne (B3 / 25) and Broadmayne (B3 / 1A / 25)*. 

The following bus stops will not be served in both directions: 

• Audley Way
• Honeypot Lane
• Methersgate
• The Upway
• The Hatherley
• Quilters Straight
• Maplestead
• Matching Green
• The Jolly Friar
• Barrington Gardens
• Grimston Road

*Passengers can board/disembark the B3, 1A and 25 services, on Broadmayne, at the following bus stops (in both directions)*: 

• Barstable School
• The Fremnells
• Church Road Foot Bridge

X10

The X10 will divert in both directions via Cranes Farm Road and Upper Mayne.

The following bus stops will not be served in both directions: 

• The Watermill
