  • *Update added 26/03/2026* The road closure has changed and it is no longer necessary for services to be placed on diversion in both directions - and no longer necessary to change diversion routes at peak / off-peak hours.

Radford Way, Billericay is closed for roadworks. The permit's end date is: 3 Jun 23:59 BST.

Due to the location of the road closure - the 9 / 300 and 561 will experience disruption:

Towards Brentwood: Normal line of route. All bus stops served.

Towards Basildon: *PEAK HOURS* The 9 will not serve Mountnessing Road or Billericay Railway Station. The following journeys will be placed on diversion - and will not serve: Beaufort Road, Bellevue Road, Ricketts Drive and Billericay Railway Station:

Brentwood Railway Station -> Basildon Bus Station: 07:30 | 08:10 | 14:25 | 15:15 | 16:25
300 The 300 will operate to normal line of route in both directions but will likely experience delays due to increased traffic in and around the area.
561 AM and PM journeys are being assessed on a case by case basis - dependent on significance of daily disruption. The bus driver will inform customers of any route diversions or non-stops.
