The A12 between Witham and Marks Tey is closed for overnight roadworks. The permit's end date is 29th May 2026.

*This is a timed road closure: the road will be closed between 21:00hrs and 05:00hrs*

Due to the timing of the road closure - only two journeys will be impacted:

20:45 Chelmsford -> Colchester 22:04

The 71 will divert via the B1019, B1020 and will follow the 375 route until reaching Heckfordbridge before continuing diversion via Warren Lane and Stanway Western Bypass. Normal line of route will be resumed at Sainsburys Store, Stanway.

The following bus stops will not be served: ALL BUS STOPS between (and including) LYNFIELD MOTORS, WITHAM and WYVERN FARM.

22:10 Colchester -> Kelvedon 22:40

The 71 will terminate at Marks Tey Railway Station.

The following bus stops will not be served: ALL BUS STOPS between (and including) PRESTED HALL and LONDON ROAD, KELVEDON.
