Peldon Road, Abberton is closed for roadworks from 14/10/2026 to 20/10/2026.

Due to the location of the road closure - the 68 / 68A will divert in both directions via Mersea Road and Colchester Road.

*The 68 / 68A will be unable to serve Peldon for the duration of the works*

The following bus stops will not be served in both directions:

  • St Ives Road
  • Lower Road
  • Kemps Farm

*Please note. the 68 / 68A is impacted by HIGH TIDES at The Strood and at times will be unable to cross The Strood - in this circumstance - the 68 / 68A will terminate / recommence journeys at Layer Road, Abberton* All bus stops between (and including) St Ives Road and West Mersea High Street will not be served*
