Turner Road, Colchester is closed for overnight roadworks from 20/04/2026 to 25/04/2026.

*This is a timed road closure: the road will be closed nightly between 20:00hrs and 06:00hrs*

Due to the location of the road closure - the 51 / 52 / 68 will divert in both directions via Northern Approach Road (via the new bus lane) and Mill Road.

The following bus stops will not be served in both directions:

  • Turner Rise
  • Wryneck Close
  • Colchester General Hospital
  • Kingswood Road
  • Beaumont Close

*Passengers for Colchester General Hospital are advised to board / disembark services at bus stop(s) Hospital Path (located on the new bus lane)*

*Passengers for / from Turner Road are advised to board / disembark services at bus stops before / after diversion route: Bruff Close and Thornwood*
