Braintree and Bocking Carnival returns on Saturday 6th June 2026.

Whilst the event is underway there will be a rolling road closure on Rayne Road, Pierrefitte Way, Railway Street and Manor Street.

Due to the location of the temporary road closures - the 170 will be placed on diversion between 14:30hrs and 16:30hrs:

Towards Braintree: The 170 will divert via the A120 and Cressing Road. *PASSENGERS FOR BRAINTREE* are advised to alight at adj Dallwood Way (located on Coggeshall Road).

The following bus stops will not be served:

  • Tortoiseshell Way
  • Acorn Avenue
  • Clare Road
  • Rue De Jeunes
  • Braintree Bus Interchange
  • Railway Street
  • Albert Road
  • Kings Head

Towards Chelmsford: The 170 will divert via Cressing Road and the A120. *PASSENGERS FOR CHELMSFORD (from Braintree)* are advised to board at opp Dallwood Way (located on Coggeshall Road).
