South Street, Braintree is closed for overnight roadworks from 06/08/2026 to 07/08/2026.

*This is a timed road closure: the road will be closed overnight from 20:00hrs to 05:00hrs*

Due to the location of the road closure - the 170 / 370 will be placed on diversion:

Towards Braintree:

  • The 370 will operate to normal line of route. All bus stops served.
  • The 70 will divert via the B1256 and Railway Street. The following bus stops will not be served: Rue De Jeunes

Towards Chelmsford: The 70 / 370 will divert via Victoria Street, B1018 and A120. The following bus stops will not be served:

  • Rue De Jeunes
  • Courtauld Place
  • Marshalls Road
  • Tortoiseshell Way
