We've lowered some fares

From Sunday 10th August, we've introduced some trial changes to our fares on some services in Basildon and Southend.

Basildon

The following changes affect routes B1, B2, B3, B4, B5 and the Basildon sections of longer distance routes 9, 22, 25, 28, 100, 200, 201 and 300.

  • Reduction of the one stage fare from £2.80 to £2
  • Reduction of other existing £2.80 fares which cover two stages or more to £2.50
  • Reduction of Basildon to Laindon Town Centre fare from £3 to £2.50

Tap and Cap price remains at £3 and there are no changes to prices of day, week, or 4-weekly tickets.

Southend

The following changes affect routes 21, 26, 27, 27A, 28 and 827.

  • Reduction of the one stage fare from £2 to £1.60
  • Reduction of £2.80 fare to £2.30 and will apply to a longer distance than at present, such as Lord Roberts Avenue and Chalkwell Park to Southend
  • The popular £2 fare between Fleet Avenue/Westcliff Plough to Southend remains unchanged
  • The £3 fare for longer journeys remains unchanged.

Tap and Cap price remains at £3 and there are no changes to prices of day, week, or 4-weekly tickets.
